It is not uncommon for families to find themselves at odds after
the death of another family member. It is often beneficial to have a
formal family meeting or mediation to help answer questions, define
expectations and facilitate communications.
Mediation involves the use of a skilled neutral third party who does not
have the power to impose a solution, but assists the parties in arriving
at their own solution; parties retain control over the process and the
agreement that may occur.
Leslie has attained Supreme Court Mediation Certification in the State of
Kansas, and has provided mediation services in the Justice Court Mediation
Program for the Superior Court of Arizona.
Mediation is offered through NSFF by Leslie and a number of other qualified
mediators.
We can assist your family with communications through a formal family
meeting or formal mediation. The meeting will provide your family
greater understanding of the current issues, allow the family
to remain in control of the resolution, and we will provide
documentation of any agreements reached by family members.
Mediation services are private services not
overseen by the court.
